Wow a Winfield dual carb setup!
I have no affiliation with the seller; I’ve never seen this setup before. Anyone have $3200?

I thought I did well years ago selling one for $500.00.

Re: Wow a Winfield dual carb setup!
I have a few of those in my shop, and no they`re not worth it.
I love how he keeps telling us the carbs have the correct finish. Winfield were never glass beaded and copper plated with raven hardware. They should be die cast smooth with nice heavy bronze plating and regular zink plated phillister head screws and hardware. There were a shop down the street from Winfields place that bronzed baby shoes and that is what he used apperantly. I would think as his production facilities and the markets demand for carburetors grew he got it done elsewhere. Still bronze though. |

OHV DeLuxe, That's an interesting window into the past. I'm fascinated by stories and facts like that. Did Winfield ever make an updraft performance/replacement carb to replace the Zenith, or did he leave that to the Rayfield RIF, and Marvel-Schebler Etc...?

Re: Wow a Winfield dual carb setup!
I had a pair very similar on a Cragar manifold for a Riley two port. It had a beefier Y adapter and the choke horns were removed. This was in the late 50's and they were in the back seat of the '31 I gave away for a free haul off. Snivel, snivel, sob, sob. How was I supposed to know I would be back in the A's about 10 years later.
