Oh Yes, according to the X-RAY glasses sold in comic books, you could see right through peoples clothes. Anyone have any luck with that? LOL

The x rods, we call Star rods, A good friend of mine in Minneapolis, MN. started working for the Clawson & Bals bearing company in 1930. He said they called those rods, Star rods, and he had babbitted many of those, as we have, but surly not as many as Earl, by far. Federal-Mogul does call them X rods in there builder Spec., catalogs.

They are sure not in an X shape, nor are they in a star shape. They are more of a + shape. Go Figure.

The Star rods are just as good of a Rod, as any other Ford rod, no difference in strength.

The only draw back is if you have to change the three alignments, with out the proper tools to grab the Rod.

I noticed in the rod pictures that, the first two rods the caps are on backwards, the third is OK, and the fourth, I can't see all the rod.

Here is one of our Spun Poured Model T, late 1927 Star Rods, that is rough bored to .060 thousandths under. It can be finished bored from Std., to .050, under. I might add that we don't do Model, T, A, or B, rods any more, but every thing else.

Herm.
