Default Light switch lubrication????

Sometime my light switch is hard to turn. Is there a lubrication that a person should put on the contacts in the light switch body? If so, what type of lub.

I use the Mystik JT-6 high temp grease that I use for the rest of the car. If you are using a repro light switch contact plate, as most people are, I would take a knife and shave off the sharp edge of each dimple. Doing this and lubing the contacts makes the switch much easier to turn.

Thanks Tom. It is a repro switch and I have not used it very much. So it could use bit of lub and shaving.

Would not a Di-electric grease be better in this situuation? I use it on all my modern car light bulbs.

Ware that switch in a little bit so it gets use to moving. A tad of Automotive Bulb Grease. $1.50 a packet from AutoZone. Plenty for 20 switches.

skip.
