Default Post a picture of your car...

So, one of the big things people seemed to have troubles with on the old barn was the posting of pictures. Here it is insanely easy. The FAQ has some easy to follow instructions on it by clicking here.

So, why don't we all use this thread to post a picture of our ride(s)?

I'll start with a picture of my late '31 Steel top. The picture is a few years old and was taken en route to the MARC meet in Madison Wisconsin. Since this picture was taken I've gotten rid of the white walls and put on some blackwall goodyears.

Hello,

My pic is my avatar. I only lurked on the old barn. My car is currently in 1 million pieces.

Thanks for the conversion!

Here's the rustoleum roadster at the Illinois Railway museums vintage trasportation days. Note the rack on the side that I loaded everything up onto. No trunk since it's the rumble seat for the kids.

Thumbs up Re: Post a picture of your car...

Hello, I just wanted every body to know that they are still out there in Missouri, and that's why I'm here. This car is as found. I know, I don't care for the whitewalls either, but that's the way I found it.

The Roadster was restored by my grandfather in 1966.

Be sure to check out the Albums also. I have already loaded alot of pic's of the delivery. Seems I have restorers cramp on the back panel as i hung it on the wall for now.. Too scared to make the final cuts before I start welding. As soon as I straighten the panel formers I can attach it all bck to the body and make the final cuts and weld it up. Rod

This is a good point. For those that don't know, you can create an "album" of pictures on here for others to see. To view Rowdy's album, just click on his name to the left of the message, a small drop down menu will appear, select "view public profile" and a new page will open and on the right will be the album!

Rowdy, your delivery is really cool, it is almost a shame you weren't able to save the old lettering on the car, I think seeing that old stuff is a time capsule.

I am painstakingly making stencile to recreate the writing when it is done. Since this is an origianl car from the town I live it it has huge local historic value. Rod

Mostly a lurker on the old site, I have had my 30 for about 3 years now, and my dad had it about 35 before that.

Took the wife in for her Csection two years ago as we needed to leave her car for her mother to drive..... I dropped her off at the emergency entrance and went to park the car, the security guard was asking all kinds of questions about year, brand etc, just before I got back she had to tell him It has been fun talking but I need to go have my child now....

Broncojohn,

Was taking the body of your roadster difficult without her bending in the middle? I will be taking the body off my 1928 Standard Roadster next spring for painting. Some years ago I built a body tilter/spit that I have used for several cars when painting. Once the body is mounted it is a doddle to paint. But I have never used it on an open car, so I am curious if you had any "bending in the middle" problems.

Dennis,
Your pickup looks a lot like mine. I even have the same type plywood top as you do. The entire top was missing including all the wood except for a little bit of the header. I hope to start on it in a year or two years from now when I finish my special coupe and phaeton. That might be wishful thinking, as it always takes a lot longer to do things than I hope for.
