Default Checking Fog Lights

Is there a way to check fog lights to see if they work? I do not have a 6V battery handy. Can I use 6v battery charger to power them?

Thanks!

6 volt charger should work fine to test them provided it puts out enough amps. Or, if you have two lights you can hook them up in series to your 12 volt battery to test them (i.e. the current must go through one light then the next light to complete the circuit). Of course, testing them that way, if one is bad neither will work and you won't know which it is. But if both work - there you are.

3 X 1.5 volts is only 4.5 volts. It takes 4 X 1.5 to get 6 volts.
