Default new door lock cylinders

On my 55 ford I purchased new door lock assemblys but I need to know how to transfer the little "tang " on the end that fits into the door latch assy .. Any help would be appreciated Fred

You can get a little screwdriver and pry apart the jaws one the end of the door-lock and slide the actuator and spring out of the old lock and put those two parts on the new lock. Use a pair of pliers to crimp the jaws around the actuator to keep it in place. You don't have to get real crazy about prying the jaws apart, just enough to allow the release of the actuator. Same with crimping the jaws on the new one. Just crimp enough to hold it and the spring forces it to stay in place.
