'32 cabriolet spare wheel
Hello
I recently bought a '32 cabriolet (need to be restored) and I'm quite newbie with those car. The car is fitted with 2 spare wheel in the front fender. Cabriolet usually have the spare wheel located at the rear. Is it an option ? a custom work ? Thanks Christophe

Re: '32 cabriolet spare wheel
One or two side-mounted spares were production options available at extra cost for all North American-produced '32 passenger cars except the deluxe coupe (where the front edges of the rear-hinged doors would have interfered with the spare tire if fender mounted).

A nice thing about the spare(s) in the fender is that you can use a trunk on a rack in the rear.

Here is a picture of a 1932 Ford Deluxe V8 Roadster equipped with both Fender mounted Spare Wheels, similar to what your Cabriolet has. |
