Default power valve

I'm replacing the pv. in the 94 carb. I have the pv. fairly tight and it still seeps a little, how tight should it be??. thanks for any info. Jack.

Good luck. It seems many of the rebuilding PVs have too much of an angle at the base of the threads preventing the gasket from sealing also the soft gasket supplied often leaks. Charlie Schwendler may have a good gasket.

You probably have a later power valve. They look the same, but the sealing area is slightly different from the proper early valves and they will leak. As long as you're getting a gasket from "Charlie ny". you might as well get a power valve too.

You want one like the one on the right with no radius at bottom

That's a great comparison picture, Al. Everyone with a Holley carb should save a copy.

Also, Charlie ny prefers the power valves that have four small side holes instead of the two large square windows.

I believe the correct Power Valves and quality carb kits may also be purchased from Daytona Auto Parts:

I just went through troubles with my 94. I sent my carb to Charlie. Got it back last week and the car runs great.
