Received this email yesterday:

Please be advised that we received your subscription order from the National Publishers Exchange Agency. Their telephone number is 1-888-559-6577. They will be issuing the refund.

Thank you for the many years of subscribing with us; we appreciate your patronage.

I was in Target the other day (my wife dragged me in) and they had the January 2020 issue of Hot Rod Deluxe. Is that the last issue being issued? I bought it only as a "collector's" item. They burned me up a few years ago with an article about a miracle pressure plate that would fit on an off brand flywheel and work with an early Ford throw out bearing. It didn't....

Yes January is the last issue. They initially claimed they would continue coverage online, but that was a lie. There hasn't been any updates on the website at all and I heard they let everyone including the editor go.

I know I quit the subscriptions and sorry they all went out of business but they just kind of spent there way out of my interest. I was more of a Chassis Engineering type person instead of a Fatman frame swap. We just kind of drifted apart and I'm fine not paying alimony anymore.

Creating a physical item is expensive. Digital content is spewed out in nausea and is cheaper on the web. But not always productive in return. Too many sources can flood what it good.

I didn't have a subscription to Hemmings for a couple of decades. I got an offer in the mail that was too good to turn down and subscribed for a year. The year is almost up and I will not renew. There isn't anything wrong with HMN other than for me the print in the sections I want to read is too small for me to read easily.

So I called the National Publishers Exchange Agency as Ten Publishing told me and NPEA said that they have nothing to do with the refunds as they do not collect the subscription payments. They told me to call a company called Forte for the refund. Well.... I called and Forte cant find any record of my payment so now I'm waiting to hear back from Ten. Probably never see the refund but I intend to file a complaint with our state's Attorney General regardless.

Believe in the hereafter. You must believe that the only thing these folks are "here after" is your money! DD

I covet a good publication. Have a few first editions. Favorite is a Vonnegut.

I have a stack of deluxes for shipping I'd send. Missing a few that I sent as a carepackage to a afgan troop a few yrs back. Weird thing is the when I told the post off they mentioned chaplains sorted the mail. Hopefully they let the tuna packs through too.

hard to say what is valuable.
