Default Horn relay location

Need to know where the horn relay was factory mounted on a 1940 Ford pickup. A photo would be nice. Thanks Barners.

I believe its in the same place as the passenger car. Mounted on top of the frame rail over the steering box and the trumpets are mounted to the left inner fender

On my 40 Coupe, the bolt that holds the horn mounting bracket to the frame rail also secures the horn relay.

Don't have a '40 for a picture but here's a wiring diagram for the '40 passenger if it helps any. Shows the horn relay about where Ken and Bill said.

Thanks Henry, that's helpful. I've run across a number of Ford parts blowups over the years. They always have numbers by the parts but no key showing what the numbers represent. What do you make of it?

They're probably from the Green Bible which also identifies the part numbers.

Here are the descriptions for the horn relay and bracket shown in the diagram as part 13842. It appears to be one part that combines the horn bracket and the relay in one.
