OT: License plates wanted

This may be somewhat OT but hopefully the moderators will allow it.

My 11 yr. old grandson has decided he wants to try to collect license plates from all 50 states. I'm trying to help him do it. We are not looking for anything of value; no vintage, antique, restorable or collectable plates. Modern plates will do just fine.

I know that I have obsolete modern plates from my state in the shop and hopefully others do too. I am happy to pay mailing/shipping costs of course, Thanks!! Any help appreciated.

Newbies usually start by trying to get a plate from each state and District of Columbia. Easiest to get are ordinary passenger issues (not specialty plates) that expired within the past several years. Older issues, and plates with current validation, are not the the cheapest nor easiest to get. I will send him a Massachusetts plate free if you post a mailing address. I am a member of ALPCA (Automobile License Plate Collectors Association).
