Default HELP looking for paint part # for straw color

I looked in the forum for this answer but no luck. My car is a 1930 tudor all black,I would like to paint my rims a straw color.Right now my rims are bright yellow, I want to keep a light color on the rims to break up the all black tudor. If anyone has a paint brand and number for the straw color please pass it on .Thanks to all, Dennis/CT

Dennis, The straw paint is $140 or so a quart....but i took a chip to Home Depot and came home with a $2 pint of "charismatic" paint code UL180-20 and it matches real nice. I cleared them and they seem to be holding up well.

Dennis, give TCP Global a call @ (858) 909-2110. The paint code is IM-526.
There are several avenues you will want to explore with them. They are friendly
and knowledgable. By the way, the color in my Avatar picture is NOT correct
just in case you are wondering, lol.

Dennis, the wheel color should be Tacoma Cream I believe. I had a full set of five wheels sandblasted and powdercoated for $350 and they have a match for Tacoma Cream. Straw has more yellow in it and seems a little bright for the wheels. Straw was generally used in the body stripe.

Hello: I had the same problem when I was painting mine. I checked around and found an article that said that 1980 Volvo yellow was very close. I had my wheels done in this color and they look great. You can go to an automotive paint store and they can show you a sample. Dan.

Straw enamel for wire wheels @ 124.95 a quart from mac's. AK, your not going to go into Home Depot and find a can that says " wheel paint for model A's"... You can give them a paint code that i previously posted and they will mix you a 7 oz can of indoor/ outdoor paint that you can use on you wheels. You can mix and spray it or you can foam brush it on, or whatever method you prefer. I cleared coated them and they look fine.

Dennis, I was faced with the same thing, I went to Tractor Supply and got Valspar Tractor and Implement paint, Cub Cadet Beige # 5339-26 for about $ 6 a can. I used 3 cans to do 4 rims. This color isn't a perfect match, but it's pretty close. I doubt anyone can tell the difference with out putting the two together. It'll hold the rims for now. Maybe at a later date I'll decide to change it. Oops, I see you wanted "Straw", this is a standin for Tacoma Cream.

Another possibility that should be locally avalible is Mercedes light ivory(623) from the 80s --I also have a 53 Citroen, it has a wheel color that looks like straw, and also like benz light ivory, i was talking with a shop owner that restored Citroens for many years, He told me he used light ivory, and that he had done so many cars with it that it was the accepted color, and that a car done with any other color was considered wrong.

Krylon Fusion #KO2334 "Buttercream" 12 oz spray @ $4.95/can. You be the judge.

To bad Les Schwab tires doesn't go that far east. They power coated my wheels on my 31 pickup a perfect match for straw, $30.00 per wheel.
