offy 4bbl. intake question
i have an older offy 4 bbl. intake manifold for the 8ba series and i see that it has holes for 12 bolts but stock man. and block uses 14 bolts. seems strange, was that the way they were all made and are the new ones right? any ideas why they were made this way? Mark

Re: offy 4bbl. intake question
No idea why the 'extra?' holes but don't over think it, use whatever holes that are available to use, as many others have.
For example my stock 8CM manifold uses just 13 of the 14 in the block. Most likely all the 8BA type blocks had 14 holes installed and the type of manifold installed determined how many of those were used.

Re: offy 4bbl. intake question
I am using the same OFFY intake manifold on my 8BA. No bolt problems. But, BE AWARE that the OFFY intake offsets the generator and fan pulley 7/8" towards the drivers side. Read here:
