There is no such thing as a "deluxe" 29 phaeton. There was only a standard phaeton made in 28 and 29. Deluxe phaetons and roadsters became available in 1930. Some pictures would be necessary for any estimates of what price range your phaeton might bring. Phaeton's, I have an early 29 I am restoring, are one of the more desirable model A's, so they command a higher price. Many people want a convertible. The condition of the car is what really matters.

Depends where you are. Up till the last few years when lots of cars have come in from the US (many then converted to RHD), Phaetons were BY FAR the most common body style here. Their numbers mean they still don't bring all that much money.
A few thousand miles of ocean makes a big difference.

Probably more a function of climate than distance

Almost without doubt although it does get pretty cold down south. We started a tour in temps of -5C a couple of years ago. Before you all start in on me, I know it gets much colder in the north over there - just sayin.

It's worth what you are willing to pay.

I know it sounds wise ass but it is true. If you are going to restore it get it cheap by pointing out everything that is wrong to the owner and quote a price to fix what is wrong. If you are going to drive it and keep it long term you can offer more because the price will go up over time (you can't spend too much, just buy too early). If you want to flip it, forget it. Unless the owner is clueless of knows of something wrong that you don't you won't be able to get it cheap enough to make any money on it. In my opinion.

And unlike now, phaetons were cheaper when new. If you didn't need a sedan to stay warm (relatively ), why pay the extra $100 or more?

Yeah, it gets colder in the north but 23F (-5C) still is pretty chilly in many areas.

So...are you saying Model A buyers are fools? Probably some truth to that!

If it is original paint don't repaint. Just detail it gently.

Ok then you have a starting point, the owner of the one on ebay thinks his is worth 17,900. You have ronn that thinks it's worth between 10 and 20K.

Without pictures any number its going to be a wild guess of the person posting it.

Here is that NADA guides thinks;

Low $15,300 Average $23,000 High $34,200

High is an award winning restoration of only a few years old. Excellent condition, number matching, Average is an older restoration that still shines inside and out every thing works a "20 footer", Low is a nice driver, good solid paint, that stops and goes minor reconditioning (the one you describe).

Again this is my opinion and you know the saying about opinions.
