Default Spark Starter

Last weekend I bought a Spark Starter at a garage sale. It was made by Saunders - Allen Company from Memphis, Tenn. It's in the original box (well most of the box) and it says "For Model A Ford." The original price, printed on the box, is $1.50. It says "Snaps on in a jiffy, No screws, no bolts." Says "The spark lever operates the starter. The regular starter still operates freely. Not necessary to replace any standard Ford part." It's three metal pieces hinged in the middle and a rubber grommet. Anybody know what this is?
Sorry, I can't seem to post a picture.

Maybe like an up-start, an accessory to activate the starter by just pushing the spark advance lever all the way up.

J,
That's what it looks like to me. The box says "Copyright 1930", but there are no directions with it. It's not a big deal, I only paid two bucks for it.

Put the pieces near the starter and see what makes sense.

Snyder's carries a gadget called a "Sparky start" that seems to do the same thing that my device does. I called Snyder's this morning and explained what I have and they said they would look at one of their Sparky starts and see if there are any instructions and E-mail a copy to me.

Charley,
Thanks for the help. A few of us have looked this gadget over and think maybe there are parts missing. Glad I don't have a lot in it. One of my friends thinks maybe the box is worth more than the gadget!
