Yes, they were mostly found in DeLuxe cars, not Super DeLuxe. That's a beautiful '42!

Identical to my 42 Deluxe coupe. The repo dash plastic all has the hole cut out for the clock so I hunted up a stem wound clock. The radio block off cover is also a 42 only
item and I found one at Hershey this year. That looks like a really nice car....

I've only seen one, on a NOS plastic at a fleamarket long ago. The clock hole cover is integral with the right dash plastic...
I think the Super Deluxe cars had the clock standard '42-48, and most sales were SD.
I'm not sure I ever encountered a car witout a clock (or a hole, sometimes) there back when there were still early Fords in junkyards.

Hi,
on the 41 that gracey allen has. Your 41 did,nt come with a clock so no hole. Only the super de luxe 41,s have the clock.
A little information. Some 41,s came with the trip meter incorporated with the odometer. The way it was expanedto me, as the 41,s came down the assembly line, the workman installed whatever he had at the time and no preferance as which they were installed in.my 41 convert. Has the trip meter. Possably the next car did,nt have one.
