Model B design, yes (no provision for the oil return pipe). But not an original piece, looks made out of aluminum and finned. There was a guy that made valve covers I do believe and I think these might be his?

This an aftermarket side cover for a B engine with an OHV head. it covers the intake and exhaust ports in the block.

The fuel pump right below the cover sort of makes it a “B” motor

Thank you guys. I was asking because I posted another question concerning the serial number on the block which was R4-XXXXXM and where I couldn't find any info with that number letter combination, was getting info that B blocks didn't have serial numbers. So I know for sure it's a B block and it does have a Cragar OHV on it.

Use a 1-piece gasket with small slots cut into it for accumulated oil to drain from the stock ports down into the valve chamber, then into the pan. Put something under the engine after removing the pan, it will drip for a long time.
