Re: converter
Assuming you want to convert 6 volt positive ground to 12 volt negative ground, check out eBay item: 360912320550
It will supply up to 5 amps and costs $60 + shipping. |

Re: converter
Hi Bill, Just asking what are you trying to power up on 12 volts that draws 4.6 amps ? Your 6 volt system will have a current draw of approx. 9 amps if you require a step up converter to supply a CONTINIOUS 4.6 amps at 12 volts. I have a couple of good converters from Cruising Electronics, who are in New Zealand. They are rated at up to 7 amps output at 12 volts. Cost about US $100.00. Google them for info. All these converters are designed to power electronic items such as radios, cd players, GPS units, cell phone chargers etc and are not for use on items that have larger electric motors inside like cooling fans, wipers and such. Regards, Kevin.

Re: converter
Try [email protected] He has been making heavy duty 6 to 12 volt converters for a long time. I have 2 for 5 or 6 years and they do the job. He has a website but I don't know the address. He posted on here years ago. Or maybe it was on the EFV8 site? G.M.
