Default 6Volt brake light bar

Does anyone make a 6volt brake light bar for the back window ? Iv been told a couple times that my brake lights on my 46 are hard to see. Meaning that when the brakes are applied the person behind me couldn't see that the lights are illuminated. I looked around on the net for a 6v brake light bar but didn't find one. Just wondering if anyone here has one and how good does it work oh yes and where did ya get it.
Thanks

Brakelighter has a LED bar that fits in rear window and is GREAT!! Very easy to install and very easily seen by traffic behind you.

Paint the inside of your tail housing White two coats works very good.you can get an led display they replace your bulbs from http://lambertenterprises.com/ these things work. I have them on my 35. I also have the break lighter Tell lambert your voltage and polarity ground if you have turn signal you wil need a resistant load also he sells that too.

I would install six volt bulbs instead of 12 volt. This made a big difference for me. I was sure they were 6 volt but after the HP stopped me to tell me my taillights were dim I realized I had the wrong bulbs. They were reproduction taillights that came with 12 volt bulbs. They are nice and bright now.

Thanks a lot for all of the information. I did try the white paint trick but didnt work very well. I still am told my taillights and brake lights are very dim. I like the rear window strip and I like the LED tail lights from Lambert. This winter while the car is having a little down time I believe Ill get one or the other and install them on my 46. Maybe Santa Clause will bring me a set of the LED's.

Just a suggestion. I have a '48. They are certainly not as bright as a 12V might be but they can be seen and they pass state inspection every year. Make sure that you have a very good ground. Try grounding the housing with an aux. lead to a CLEAN SPOT on the chassis. See if that makes a difference. Those rear window strips work great though. I was at a car show last week and a '35 sedan had one. Impressive.

Just for drill, check the voltage at the tail light and the brake light with the lights on bright.
You might have some dirty or loose connections or grounds.
Your analog VOM will tell you.

Bruce

Works good
Lasts long time

The brakelighter bar is top notch and a great investment for additional safety. And if I may also say, the customer service is second to none. Steve
