WireWheel Fit Question
I may have a dilema.I bought a pair of wheels from a hamb ad here in Texas and they measure 5 1/2 center to center not edge to center so they are 5 on 5&3/4 best I can judge.Supposedly 34-35 packard rims,Can any thing be done via a welded ring on the back to drill the proper lug spacing? These rims are bent spoke and look just like 35 wires but thicker steel and 5&1/2 wide.Thanx for any help.I was planning to use these on the rear for my AV8 project.

Re: WireWheel Fit Question
Think you are measuring wrong. Never heard of measuring edge of hole to center of hole. If they measure 5 1/2" they should fit unless the backside of the rim won't go over your brake drum. I usually measure left side of the left hole to left side of right hole or center to center.

Re: WireWheel Fit Question
Thanx,B-O-B.I"ve always thought it was left side of stud to c/l 3rd stud. They seem to be 5 on 6" and dont fit ford hubs.

Re: WireWheel Fit Question
When all else fails to answer your question, just see if they will fit a drum with a 5 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern.

Re: WireWheel Fit Question
You were measuring correctly to get an approximation of the bolt circle diameter. A center to center measurement will only work if you have an even number of studs, not with 5 studs.

Re: WireWheel Fit Question
If they are Packard, you should be able to sell them very easy and buy several sets of bent spoke KH wheels.

Re: WireWheel Fit Question
I doubt adapters are going to be available. If you are set on using them, the solution is to drill a new stud pattern in your hubs/drums.
