Default 6 cyl engine swap

I've got an 81 f-100 with a 300 6 cyl that over heated and died.It only has 0 to 30 psi on cylinders,Got a chance to get a running 6 from a 65 truck.Will my c-4 trans bolt up to the 65?Thanx.

Your 81 should be a C6, the 65 motor is probably a 240, either way it should fit

Compare the number of bolt holes on the bellhousing. There were some differences on V8s and may apply to the 6's as well.
