Kube, we will agree to disagree, you like to restore them, I like to drive them, so one with a little history is my kind. I do not like the interior either but that was what was done back in the day and it is part of history and someone's idea of what they wanted to drive.

I'll go this far in agreement with you... it's a cool looking truck.
I won't agree that it'll bring anywhere close to the asking price.

By the way, I'm actually preparing a car to drive this next (warm) season.

Last I saw it listed the price was down to 18,500.

For as long as its sat, plus it could be a patched up mess( maybe not it could be a cherry body and frame) its gonna need 10,000 worth of work even if you just leave the body just as it looks and go over it one end to the other. Brakes gas tank and wiring harness.

You're outta your mind, preparing a car to drive.....just kidding of course. Enjoy the ride. You'll enjoy putting a smile on the face of everyone who gets to see you driving it.

That '40 pickup, pretty hideous interior. Doesn't do much for me but it's not my truck and it doesn't matter.

I'm still buying up parts for my '40 restoration. I can't wait to really get my teeth into this one. Thanks for your help along the way.

and my tow dolly. Re: the interior, not my bag at all, got to go. If the owner delivered it to Orchard Park, N.Y 14127 ,I'd give $16,750 cash.

Yeah, I deserve it all.

I had purchased a super nice '36 Roadster last year. One of two cars that had remained on my bucket list. It was in the same family since the early 60's. Never rusted and never modified other than 1940 brakes.
The previous owner drove it over 100 miles to deliver it to me so we know it's dependable.
I am currently doing some minor work. Things like installing the NOS (aluminum) heads that came with it, rebuilding the water pumps (looking for a correct right side) new plugs wires, etc.
Nothing major, just little things that will add to the dependability.
I'd already installed new tires and NOS springs to bring the engineered height back.

Believe it or not, I used to drive these cars all over the place. Yeah, I'll admit, that was 35 years ago. Then the "bug" caught me and caught me bad. To date I've fully restored 15 Fords and one '31 Series 90 Buick opera coupe. I am in the process of restoring one more Buick, a '38 coupe and have a '40 Ford coupe scheduled.
Still, I am looking forward to a renewed chapter in my life where I drive and enjoy the camaraderie more.
While I really enjoy the projects, well, it just seems the time is right to "turn the page".

I like it! But no idea what the going price is on something like this. To me it would depend on the condition of the metal in the frame and body. $18K wouldn't get you far starting from scratch on a project, that's for sure.
