I also believe that the Ford Motor Company did from 1939 through 1948.

Yep, that where I got mine. Then, a few yrs. back I switched out the fronts for 1953 F100 Bendix "self energizing" brakes. Big improovement over the Lockeed
style from 1939-1948! - F F

This is a for what it's worth comment: I own a 37 Cabriolet. I changed over my car to hydraulic brakes. I wouldn't do this switch again. Properly set mechanical brakes, with all components in as new condition, work perfectly fine and need very little maintenance for average use.

Me too! I'd rather have converted to FlatheadTed's self-energizing mechanical floaters which seem a better than the Lockheed hydraulics. But he invented them too late. Now I'm still waiting for him to invent a floater kit for Lockheed hydraulics. 8^)

Use the Boling Bros Lincoln style Bendix self energizing brakes, they will work with your 37 drums. Use a 39 pedal assembly and master cylinder and make your own lines. They work great,
Bill,

Bill,

I agree with Bill Brock. Or, to save about $400, lots of guys are running the BOLING BROS backing plates on front with the Lockheed brakes on the rear, in conjunction with your '37 rear drums....GOOD combination!

And Gary Mussman ("Krylon32" here on the 'Barn) is a dealer, and sells the Boling Bros brakes at a 10% discount to F'Barn folks.
