I previously saw that another adaptor 97JM6884AA will also work. This adaptor was used on the 97 and 98 Ford Explorer, 4.0 L motor. The auto junk yard had ten explorers so it was easy to find. You do have to remove the exhaust first to access the bolt that holds it to the block. The bolt with the adaptor will thread into the valve cover from the oil filter kit sold by most A vendors. You will have to remove the nipple that is used with the valve cover. I put it on the motor today, it fits fine.
