Timing help
Hey everyone first thanks for the add second I am new to the ford model t
I have a 27 I saved form being junked has not run since early 80s I pulled the head a freed all the valves My question is when number 1 cylinder is at tdc should the rotor point to the number one cyl like a small block Chevy Thanks |

Do you have the original style commutator and vibrator coil ignition, or has it been replaced with a distributor?

TDC compression stroke will be where it's timed to #1 rotor/cap position and the rest of the terminals will be in firing order for direction of rotation.
Half the fun of the T is in the buzzing trembler coils and the timer. That system always makes younger folks scratch their heads. |

Would like to return it to stock at some point but want to get it running to see if their are any other problems before sinking a ton of money into it |

Like I said there and will repeat here, would also help to know what brand of distributor you have. There were many different brands and some were setup a little different.
