Default Identify this horn, please

I found this horn at a roadside thrift sale and was thinking of using it on my sidecar rig. I was thinking it probably was activated by squeezing a large rubber bulb on the end of it, but then I found a photo of someone who had a similar horn rigged up in a later model car than the brass era ones.

Can anyone identify what it may have been used on?

It comes apart at the end and is threaded there. It has a reed inside the tube. Blowing air into it has not produced anything, but when I unscrewed the end tube, I didn't find any blockage inside.

Is there an easy way to rig this up on a later Model A Ford for use and not just use a rubber bulb to honk it with?

Typical India or Pakistan made 'taxi' bulb horn. Made for years, and probably never on an automobile, just taxi carts or wagons. Still sold today as novelty.

Dobani Bulb Horn, Straight
2 1/2" bell, 17" length. Brass bulb horn with removable reed and bulb. You should expect your brass instruments to have, or develop, an attractive antique patina. However, if you prefer the high shine look we recommend Brasso (TM) as a good polish. Made in Pakistan. Only:

I have a bugle shaped squeeze bulb brass horn on my motorbike. It's very loud and much needed for the drivers we have in the Twin Cities. I was driving my modern Olds yesterday and some young woman honked and flipped me off just because she was tailgating and had to slow a little as I moved to the left turn lane. She also swerved into the turn lane and purposely tried to scare me by driving about 2" from hitting my right front fender. There's a lot of very hostel drivers in the Twin Cities and they get mad if you aren't driving 20 over the limit, like they are.

Thanks for the info on the horn. I found them on Ebay and I'll probably order a spare bulb to see if the one I have can be salvaged and honk once again. I'll likely use it on my sidecar rig, as the grandkids love such things to play about with. Surprised me that they were so very cheap (cost). Again, thanks for the info.

I can't seem to make the attached photos/thumbnail photos at this site open from the links in posts, as all I get is a spinning wheel like it is trying to download, but no photo. Too hard to judge much by the avatar sized photos. Not sure how to fix this problem, but just now adjusting to Chrome and it may have some bugs in the system for me. Anyone know what the issue is or a remedy for the non-tech person to make?

You might want to get it to work by blowing through it first, I would not spend money on a new bulb for it if you can't. Working ones are all over ebay. Most are way over priced for what they are and miss ID'ed as antique auto horns.

I am no expert but to me it looks like the brass reed is bent open. Can you un-solder it and get it to lay flat? should work like the wood reed in a saxophone me thinks.

Well, I found the perfect car for this horn, anyway. Yup, if I could just save up the $20,000 bucks the clown wants for it, then I know the horn would fit in just right. I have owned three Morris Minors in the past and none ever looked this clownish though. :-)
