More progress on 41 woodie
Wood by Ron Heiden. Figured maple panels are costing an extra $369 but offset by selling some spare woodie parts for $700. Should be getting a shot of the figured wood shortly. It is starting to look like a station wagon.

Re: More progress on 41 woodie
We were watching old movies last night. In Holiday Inn from 1942 they drove a brand new Plymouth wagon into a pond followed by a 39 Plymouth convertible. I thought that was a shame since in 42 new cars were becoming unavailable to anyone but the government.
Your 41 is going to be beautiful. |

Re: More progress on 41 woodie
Beautiful work! Did you make your wood, or get a kit?
If a kit , where did you get it? I’m debating on taking on a 48 woody project, but I’m no woodworker. |

Darrell, every time I see that movie I cringe, I wonder how many shots it took to get that scene right.

Re: More progress on 41 woodie
yes he is varnishing and working on it 40 hrs a week. If you have to ask how much or when it it is supposed to be done you will be disappointed. It will be done when it is done. I have 2 other woodies to entertain myself, a 36 Ford and a 49 Ford hot rod.

Re: More progress on 41 woodie
If you have to ask, you can’t afford it
I’m asking because the only way I could afford it would be piece by piece(kit) Or doing it myself from plans. I did the wood and roof in my 31 coupe, but it was a kit, and it came out ok. |
