Hill Billy car
I know this is not original Ford, but though some might like to see it. Found the picture when looking for the tractor photo. This is a car I built to be like the Beverly hill billy's car. Sold it at Charlotte auto fair a few years ago. It is a Model A. the hill billy car was I think a Oldsmobile.

Re: Hill Billy car
The "original" Clampett truck was a four-cylinder Oldsmobile, I believe a 1921.
Max Baer Jr. (Jethro) said it was a real bear to drive ! It is now in a museum or collection somewhere out west... |

Okay... pretty nice article... one glaring error: the writer likens the Clampett "truck" ( a cut-down touring car or roadster) to the "Okie" trucks of the 1930's, and citing John Ford's film "The grapes of wrath. The author cites the film having been made in 1967... not sure where he got his info, but Ford's film starring Henry Fonda, John Carradine, and Jane Darwell was released in 1940. Their "truck" was a 1924-25 Hudson Super-Six. I did not realize that the Clampett truck had been given to the Museum of the Ozarks... |

Re: Hill Billy car
Yes Frank. You are correct on 1940. Great old movie. One of my favorites and a great cast of characters.
