Hello All,
The Wife an I recently purchased a 64 Galaxie 9 passenger wagon. The 3rd seat was up when we bought it and I didn't think to ask the seller how to lay the seat down. I have tried to figure out how but something just isn't clicking in my brain...any help, information or pictures would be awesome.

l still have the owners manual from my 63. Here are pix of the page with instructions. Well, it wouldn't let my upload the pix.

To fold down the second seats, pull the back edge of each seat cushion upward, position cushion support rod and swing the cushion forward so that its support rests on the floor. Release the safety catch at the upper corner of each seat back, and lower the back into the cushion opening.

To use the seats again, swing each seat back up until its safety catch snaps into place. Then pull the cushion up and rearward into position with its support on its underside.

To convert the third seat into level load space, remove the seat cushion, then unfasten and lift the seat back cushion from the backboaard. Then push release latch at the lower right corner of the backboard and unfold third seat into the open space in the floor.

The pix would've been easier.

Thank You 58Yeoman!! Makes perfect sense now. I guess the cushion removal was what was not clicking in my brain. I will give it a shot later today and see how it works! Fall weather is here in Knoxville Tn. 36 degree's here. You guys have a great day!
