Remove the 1/8NPT pipe plug in the block at the oil pump, screw in a pressure gauge and crank the engine. If the pump is working, the gauge will indicate a several psig of pressure. A messier way is to remove the pipe plug, crank the engine and there will be a generous squirt of oil out of the plug hole if the pump is working. Perhaps you can avoid a mess by using a 1/8NPT hose nipple in the block and use a piece of rubber hose to catch the oil in a container.

Thanks for the advice. I am asking because the engine was disambled and now all is together. I cleaned everything, new conrods, new pistons and so on.

The oilpump i also cleaned but i cant see if the pump is correct in the driven gear at the camshaft? The pump is flat to the block.

But i want to be sure that it works.
