Default '39 clear headlight lense

I got rid of the sealed beam headlight conversion in the '39 and went back to the original headlights. (much better looking now ). it has the halogen 6 vlt. H-4 bulbs in the lights with new reflectors. was wondering about the best clear lenses to get because it's the same problem as everybody has with the original lenses with the light beam going all over the place. or maybe going back to the original bulbs. thanks for any help.

I've been told that some of the H4 conversions don't work well because the way the reflector focuses the beam isn't compatible with the original lens. My '38 has Bob Drake conversions (12v H4) and they work OK. They aren't as bright as modern lights but at least the focus is on the road and I'm not driving 80 mph with them.

Some of the dealers who sell Drake products might have them in stock. If Drake will give you a list of their dealers try the ones who sell more to street rodders.

Lets say if I put in new stock style reflectors and went back to the original bulbs would that light up the road better than what I have. I have separate relays for the headlights but i'm still at 6 volt and will probably stay at 6

Are these the reflectors you're looking for ? Bought these from Bob years ago but never used them. PM me if they're what you need.

I think your upside-down car is kinda neat. But...

If you use Windows, this MIGHT work - no guarantee as there are variables depending on Windows version, computer brand, pic format, etc. Also commands may be a bit different depending on version.

1. Open the pic you posted as your avatar in Windows Paint

2. Click Rotate, then Flip Vertical

3. Click Save As, select a format (JPEG probably will work best), and save the pic

4. Submit the new pic as your avatar

Good luck!
