Repro rumble lid, original seat springs - How is the fit?

Have a repro rumble lid on my 31. Have an original rumble seat springs.

Who has put an original seat spring back to the repro rumble lid?

What kind of fit problems should I expect?

I have to make the frame that holds the springs right as it has some bends. It does not follow the contour of the repro rumble lid and the tab that would be screwed at the bottom is currently a bit low. This would be expected because the the frame does not have enough curve to match the rumble lid. I am just curious if it will line up eventually as I get things right or am I screwed

I am also wondering if the tack strip will still work ok to put new covers on the springs. Anyway, learning as I go..
