Aluminum Radiator
Has any one used one of these cheaper ones on a 33-34 it looks to me as the filler would hit the hood top

Re: Aluminum Radiator
I have not dealt with the 33-34 setup, but I would recommend saving your money and getting a quality brass radiator. I have friends that have used alum and had to modify them. JMHO

Re: Aluminum Radiator
i suggest you check with dewitt (who in my opinion makes the very best aluminum radiators) and see what they have for your application. i had one in my 78 corvette pace car restoration and it kept the car right at the thermostat level even in august heat in south florida with the ac running stuck in dead stopped traffic for a long time. they make the best product and even though they are pricey they are worth it. the stuff they make is top quality. i believe they are located in michigan. a google search should get you their information. they won't sell direct, but will give you local dealers and loads of customer support in terms of applications.

Re: Aluminum Radiator
If you want an original looking radiator that will out perform any of the aluminum radiators go with a Walker! besides, aluminum radiators look tacky in a early Ford!(my opinion)
The only advantage to an aluminum radiator would be the weight difference. |

Re: Aluminum Radiator
I would be reluctant to use an inexpensive aluminum radiator on a car where the sheetmetal attaches to it and has to line up the hood with the cowl and radiator shell. The aluminum radiator works fine on a 39 deluxe, 40 and 41-48 where the radiator has no relationship to lining up the sheetmetal.

Re: Aluminum Radiator
I've sold dozens of Walkers and they fit! Also have done several Brassworks and they also worked good. In a business where everyone wants the product yesterday I usually go with Walker because the time line is shorter.

Re: Aluminum Radiator
I haven't tried one in a 33-34 but I put one in a 32 grille shell and it fit like crap. I had to saw off the fake neck that was supposed to go up into the shell for the dummy radiator cap. It was off by an inch. I have a Walker in my 33 truck and it fits as good as the original I took out.
