Default Batmobile????????
Saw George with Batmobile at the west coast customs show in Santa Maria Memorial Weekend with him pimping it does anyone have any info on what happened to the Multi Million $$$$$ Sale I emailed Barrett-Jackson about it but they must be to busy to answer if for some reason it didnt sell B-J lost about $700K in commissions Any RUMORS OUT THERE

Poor Keith Jackson will have to switch to the cheaper brand of caviar (SP ?). That's what he gets for helping to blow the collector car market through the roof. Makes it tougher on the working man that wants an antique or hot rod.

I respect Barris for his work over the years , but I always thought the Batmobile was one of the most overhyped cars ever . Watching the proceedings on BJ as they auctioned it only confirmed my thoughts . What a waste of money .

The biggest waste on money was the destroying the original Lincoln concept car from which the Batmobile was built up from. It was also a tragedy to a very historical "one only" car.

It sold in January for 4.6 mil. It was up for auction again so soon on memorial day?

Possibilities are the new owner is pimping the car out to shows to help pay for it and they hired Barris along with the car for the shows or the car is one of the 3 fiberglass copies Barris made of the original.

In defense of Barris chopping up concept car: yes it's a shame the car was destroyed, but the story I heard and read was that FoMoCo had it out at the Barris shop, didn't want it back and sold it to them for a buck.
