I want to do my own ohv conversion, but i dont know how to re-route the oil to feed the rockers in the head...does anyone have any ideas or pictures of how they performed this?

Original Riley's just had an oil reservoir and a felt pad on top of the rockers. Most others cross-drilled the head and intersected that hole with a vertical hole that came up under one of the rocker arm shafts which was drilled to feed the shaft.

I have one of the 4 hand-made Lingo heads that were made. This head uses a rail rocker set-up off of the Y-Block Ford. The shaft is drilled through the center and has small orifice holes to lube the rockers. The pressure is picked up off of the block port and routed to the head where there is a bulkhead fitting. Another line transfers it from the bulkhead to the shaft. It does not need a great amount of pressure or volume of oil.

Brent, that is one of the cleanest designed OHV conversions that I have ever seen. Is that a Y block valve cover also? I like the fact that the ports are in the stock location and it uses the B water pump. Does the center carb function?
Thanks for posting the pics.

I had an original 2-Port Riley that I used for over 90,000 miles & I used 1/2 of a felt insole under each valve cover.I would squirt some oil into the 2 oil holes in each cover whenever I filled up with gas. There was no detectable wear in the rocker arms at all.

You can put a adjustable valve in the block where the 1/8 plug goes for the oil pump. Then run a line to the head. I use a line going over the rockers with a very small hole drilled in the line at each rocker. Adjust the valve so you just get a little oil at each rocker. You won't need much.
