Where found on vehicle ? If on AXLE, it's what's left of an ...anti rattler device that attached to front axle and what's missing rested against tie rod ?

Looks like a rear view mirror bracket but I am not familiar with the missing piece that mounts to the car. When you tighten the two bolts will it grip a round ball that would allow it to swivel?

Rear view mirror mount......

I don't see it showing up in the JS......I don't think it's "A".

that,s exactly what it is. When I bought the car the mirror was missing but the mount with the ball stud was there. I bought a complete replacement not knowing I had the needed part to just replace just the mirror

Clean up the parts, spray a little black paint and put it on ebay as rare.

It seems to be the same as the mirror bracket, on my 1934 Phaeton. Perhaps Ford used these on different models, for several years.
