Default !940 Mercury Wood Grain

,Here I have posted pictures of original wood grain on a 38 DLx , how close is this colour to a 40 Merc, Does any one have a picture ,All help much appreciated Ted

Ted, i have been working on two 40 Mercurys, and both do not have a wood grained dash, and these are original, unrestored cars.....Ed

Ted, The dash is a flat silver, with dark blue trim, these are both 40 Merc convert's. If you want to see a picture of the dash, i can take some tomorrow. and post them when i get home.....Ed

Ted, This is an original 45000 mile 40 Merc convert, i haven't seen a 40 Merc with a wood grained dash.....Ed

OK Ed thanks ,I am doing this for a customer he requested woodgrain ,Maybe foreign ones had it .Maybe not .??

Ted, No problem, glad to help, the Mercury had a pretty art-deco looking dash for its time. As far as i know the 39 was the last of the wood grained dash boards. Even the dash in 40 fords had a two tone paint job, if you decide you want pictures, let me know.....Ed
