In that era, trucks were strictly work vehicles, unlike the urban cowboy status symbols of today. They didn't have bright work or any luxury amenities. The coupe was more of a vehicle that you could take to church on Sunday in your nice clothes. Also more comfort features. That's why I like the coupe a little bit more.

Disclaimer: I had to pick and explain why. I too like all the Model As!!!

When I began looking to buy a Model A, I narrowed my search down to only looking at 31s and further only coupes and pickups. The pickup won out when one that met my specs became available at the same time that my bank account matched the purchase price. I still hope to add a coupe to the fleet someday.

im in the same predicament, i really want a coupe...but what all i can afford is a truck. I am too a fan of both...but i always wanted a coupe.
im in the dilemma on, whether i should buy the truck...or wait for a deal that might or might not come.

i was hoping to see some pictures that might help make up my mind.

Like em all, But as someone pointed out coupes are more formal than trucks and that just isn't me, except once, (I'm driving, in a TUX) Besides it's easier to haul large items home from the swaps in a truck. Clyde

I like them all - but the truck seems to get a bigger response from the younger crowd!

I have done a lot of traveling in my coupe. It has a big advantage when traveling that you are able to secure your luggage. The adjustable seat is also nice.

I really like my pickup. Of course I got it in 1961 so it is part of the family. I have a canopy top and have used it for overnight camping trips. Since I don't own a modern pickup, it comes in handy if I need to haul something. Touring in it isn't too bad. Rear seat cushion is thin so I have a little more leg room. Touring car of choice is the 29 roadster. Can't see out of the business coupe. Later coupes have a quarter window.

If you want to get technical...Ford's 1929 Business Coupe with oval windows...IMO the best looking "coupe" Henry Ford made.

I am 5 10, 160, my long legs get stuck between the door and steering wheel in the PU when I put my foot on the clutch (for sure 30-31 not sure about 29-29). I like the looks of the coupes so that that would be my vote.
On the subject of PU's, does anyone else use the term "cracker box cab" for the 28-29's?

I have a 31 coupe ,but I would like to own a 31 4 door town car ,could haul pasengers and have more leg and head room. The large front seat in the 4 door appeals to me as really comfortable.
