Default Pop out Ignition Lock

I have an original locking door handle. My question is can my pop out key be keyed to the door handle? The locking door handle is not a Crown. April 30 coupe.

Contact Dick Crabtree.

He has helped me out with setting up the locks in my Model A's. He has keyed 2 of my Model A's where the Pop-out is keyed to the door handle.

do you have a Oval or Round speedometer and is it an original pop out. if it is a oval speedo, the pop out and handle take a different key. if it is a round speedometer and a original pop out the answer is yes they can be keyed the same.

It would probably be easier and cheaper to key the door to match the ignition. Any good local locksmith should be able to do the job.

If you have a oval speedometer, your car came from the factory with different keys for the ignition and door. The ignition and door use different key blanks, but if the locks are loose from lots of wear, you can sometimes make the same blank work in both locks. Taking a original door lock apart involves grinding parts with a dremmel tool and making new parts in a machine shop to replace parts damaged during disassembly. All original Ford locks will have a number stamped on them, you can take this number to any good locksmith and they can make you a key. The door and popout locks are very difficult to take apart and should only be done by someone familiar with these locks. On most cars the door and trunk used the same key when new.

I have the oval speedometer, I think I will leave things as they are, thanks to all replies.
