Question 1939 Pickup Emergency Brake and Speedo

I am trying to install my emergency brake cable housing and wonder if it goes through the 7/8" hole that is down low on the left side. The holder looks like it will go through with some wiggling. Before I work it through, I thought I should ask.

Additionally, where does the speedometer cable feed through the firewall/steering column area to get to the transmission? I am about ready to put the steering column in and thought it might be easier to feed these two items through before the steering installation.

Thanks.

Just the opposite, speedo goes thru lower left hole & the e-brake cable comes up beside the steering column.
