Default Water Inlet Color

For the water inlet on the drivers side of the block. Does it get painted black or engine green?

Castings are green, any sheet metal is black.

Black carb, starter, generator, distributor, oil pan, oil return pipe, and engine side pans.
When in doubt, check the standards book or look at pictures of high point restorations.

No, the coolant cast iron inlet and outlet are painted Ford engine green.

The lower steel water pipe is black, if that's what you mean.

I really do need to pick up a copy of the judging standards. While I'm not exactly going for points it's always nice to know what is actually correct.

It is often just as easy to do something in accordance with the Restoration Guidelines as it is to just do it any which way.

Dennis,

Do you have any basis to what you are saying? I don't agree with you but would like to hear the reason you are saying it. Listening with an open mind is the best way to learn.
