Maybe Model A ?
Does any one have an idea of what this may be. I was told it was Ford but I have no proof of that. It shows steering gear, clutch, transmission, rear end gears and rear brake. Thanks for your help

Re: Maybe Model A ?
For sure not Ford but way cool!! I would guess it was made for an auto mechanics class as a teaching aid.

Re: Maybe Model A ?
Very cool! I want one!
It looks suspiciosly Chevrolet. Any ideas how old it is? Might post it again in the Model T section, or on the MTFCA forum, I remember a photo once of something similar being used in the argument that the Chevrolet transmission was superior to that of a model T. Purely speculation based on my somewhat sporadic memory. Sent from my E6810 using Tapatalk |

Re: Maybe Model A ?
One of the rear wheels looks like it has a contracting rear brake assembly.
Chevrolet used that type up until 1929. Bob-A |

Re: Maybe Model A ?
It is a generic, manufacturer-immaterial, demonstration model for drivers ed classes back in the 1930's......so that new drivers could visually see the various mechanical functions that go on in a car and how the various systems in a car work: steering, clutch, brakes, transmission, rear-end, etc....
Here is a more modern version: Brad in Maryland |

Re: Maybe Model A ?
Drivers ed was alot more informative then than even in the 1970's. Same as alot of things, they actually learned something then.
