Has anyone used fiberglass fenders made by BeBop Fiberglass Produccts out of Tenesee? If so, would you recommend the company/product? Thanks in advance, Tom Rekemeyer

OK, I purchased Bee-Bops some years ago and they were very nice. Heavy fiberglass, well rounded wheel well opening edges and a very nice, sharp crown. They needed very little body work to make them perfect and they were priced right too.

PS:I first had bought some from Speedway that were complete, total junk. So bad they were almost a joke. Speedway didn't even want them back. They had me send them a piece cut out of each fender and then they refunded the purchase price. I was stuck with the shipping.

I'm new to 38-39 pickups, are the 38-39 rear fenders different than the 1940's? If so how? Thanks. Bob

38-39 are fords wonderful way of giving us a fender that is hard to find. Also for many yrs the 38-39 truck was considered a farm ugly truck under the 40. So...

It Took me 4 fenders to make 2.

Beds are the same so... no, fenders are not to 38-39. 40's more rounded in the rear and longer. They will work I guess. Probably non will know once you mod.

Very big difference in 35 to 36 coupe fenders also. If ya know

You may also consider Wescott's fenders, I used them on my 39. Karl posts on here from time to time, so check out their website as well.

Tom I had posted some pictures of the fit-up of my front and rear fenders, let me know if there are some pictures or helpful tips to get you back together. I had to make some of my fender supports and the welting was a challenge. Scott

Wescott's makes quality products. I have used their bodies and fenders and all fit great.

I always believed that the rears were the same for 38-41 pickups.

Look like good prices too. I kind of like fiberglass fenders and running boards for a driver. My dirt/gravel road can get pretty muddy in the winter and I tend to lay awake at night worrying about the mud caked onto the insides of the fenders and brackets. Not worried enough to get out of bed and run a hose under there though.

Please send any pictures you have of putting the fenders on the truck, especially the brackets.

Hey Tom, I have an album titled "front fender fitment" there are some good bracket and inner fender pictures that may help.

One thing I will mention, I also have an album "headlight buckets" were those fit up to the larger fender brace and the headlight wire socket that gets bolted to that and hold the headlight bucket is a very odd thread size. 11/16 RH thread, sound familiar? Tie rod ends.

No one In my area had a thread chaser to clean up the threads, I found one on line out of B-lo Ny. Those 11/16 nuts are usually rusted up and chewed up with dirt-mud ect and I had to cut mine off to remove the headlight bucket from the fender and brace.

Some pictured posted are passenger side and driver. The inner fenders and full fenders are not drilled, I made a pattern from the side of the pass/driver frame were they mount.

I had donated my old fenders to another Fordbarner piecing a 39 back on the road so all I had were photos of my old fenders to go by. That was fun

That thread die is 11/16-18 part# DWTSH11/16-18, I found the nuts @ speedway part# 910-01249.

Roy Nacewicz may have that nut, I did get the running board to fender fastener kit from him Part# R-013C, I am not sure what I ordered for the fenders but Roy can set you up, good luck. Scott
