Re: 1936 pickup cab corner question
I would bet that COE door skins are a lot easier to make than cab corners and also require a lot less specialized tooling.

Re: 1936 pickup cab corner question
A little late to this inquiry, but ran into a guy at a swap meet last weekend and we were both in need of rear cap corners. Maybe whoever has the tooling will eventually catch on that there's a decent market out there.

The cab corners are open on the bottom like your first picture that you posted. |

Re: 1936 pickup cab corner question
You are right. I had the tooling when I had Northern Classic Trucks. It was available for sale to many of our dealers or anyone who would want them.
It seemed as if no one was interested to buy the quality tooling at the time. The only offer that I received was from Mac Products. They had told me Quote "when it gets to scrap price let me know." In addition, I still have the35-9 Running board tooling. I am looking for a buyer. You are right about the market. When I had the tooling, I probably sold 1000 pair of front and rear cab corners. The tooling for those ended up in scrap as was most of my tooling. |
