42/48 drag link tie rod end,
Looking for a new one. This tie rod is for the right side wheel and is about 2 feet long. Goes to the steering box. Haven't seen any one listing them. Thanks Ol' Ron

Looks like that thing (actually called a DRAG LINK) is multi-piece. I wonder if Fred Wilmer ("barnfind08" here on the 'Barn) at Southside Obsolete would have that thing NOS? I'd PM him at the link below and ask. DD https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/priva...do=newpm&u=104 |

Re: 42/48 drag link tie rod end,
I bought the drag link for my truck from C&G, but it was made by Drake. I couldn't find it on Drake's site, though.
A lot of the tie rod ends and the like were used for years, so I bet even NAPA might have one. |

Re: 42/48 drag link tie rod end,
IF this is the correct part at NAPA, they have them, but a little pricey.

Re: 42/48 drag link tie rod end,
Ron, Do you still need a drag link? I have a new one complete with both ends. Don't know if it is NOS Ford, but is new. Cleaning out my excess 46-48 stuff. Let me know and I can send you a picture. $100.00 plus shipping if interested.
Thanks, Gene |

Re: 42/48 drag link tie rod end,
That's the best price I've seen so far, Working on a budget I already have a new short end and the adhuster is in o=perfect shape, so all I need it the long tie rod, infact I need Two. (long story). At preset I've replaced the one for the race car with a home made unit. But the one for my truck I need the original. I just passed inspection, but not again. So sometime in the furure I'll need one.
Building a car fron the ground up is a very expensive proposition, you need everything, and I mean everything. Your biggest enemy is the stupid factor |

Re: 42/48 drag link tie rod end,
C&G shows the drag link and center link as a set. For the 42-48 the part number is
21A-3306. That is with the end and necessary hardware. 800/266-0470 |
