Default 1946 Convertible Top Iron Issues Solved

I just want to thank member rod father for having 46-48 top iron parts.
Although not complete, the part I needed was the drivers side curved part. That was in the pieces. After working on shipping details I received the parts. Cleaned and painted the part I needed. Installed and a big WOW went out. The fit was just like the other side. After trying many different things and asking for help from the forum it came down to my part being slightly bent. Thanks also to others that sent me ideas and info to help me try to get this top mechanism to fit. Thanks again to all.

Hi Everyone. trackguy, thanks for coming back with some follow up. Glad to hear there is a happy ending. Also the story is a reminder that each of our vehicles are a puzzle and we shouldn't make too many assumptions.

Folks, here's one of the pieces of the backstory... https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showthread.php?t=215793
