Default Any stainless steel Finishers out there?

About ready to refinish my 1930 Grill Shell and Cowl band. Both are is nice shape, but need the final finishing and polishing.

Did my last pair over 15 years ago, using progressive grits of sandpaper and two grades of polishing compound.

I was wondering if there are better ways and materials today..

Thank you!

Larry

There is no need to use sandpaper on stainless steel that is in good condition. Start with a White Cake intended for stainless, and finish with Red Rouge.

Times 2 on this method. I just did my shell, headlights and cowl band this way and it produced really nice results. Be sure to clean your buffing wheel, or switch wheels, when changing from the white compound to the red rouge. Let the buffing wheel and compound do the work ... works great !

I have used Cherokee Stainless Restorations for my customers in the past. Her name is
Dorothy Nichols. 423-472-7606. Since I am retired now it has been a few years since I
last had her do something for me so I am not 100% she is still in business but all it takes a Ph call to find out. Can't remember exactly where she is but somewhere between Chattanooga TN and Knoxville TN
