Default free old magazines

had a flood in my house. have hundreds of rod mags dating back into the 50's and 60's. renovation requires house to be gutted, everything out. at this point in my life it's very likely i'll never use them again. includes many "little books". ol' ron is my best friend and mentor of all things flathead and one of his favorite expressions is "sometimes free is too expensive". up to anyone interested to make that choice. mags are separated and bound. HAVE to be picked up in person at my house in shrewsbury vermont, i will not ship. lots of good stuff, some may even have value. interested? give me a call at 802-548-6711. if i don't answer leave me a message and i'll call you at 1st opportunity; i'm more than a little busy right now. george perry

Mold is not gold. Best to just throw them away.

There was a guy in florida, that always showed up at shows, that had a chopped 60s rod and the headliner was pasted/lacquered with old hotrod mag pages, sorta neat. Not my style though.

Sorry about the flood.

There is a lot of interesting articles in the old 50-60 littles. Design and ideas.

Sure someone will pick them up. If not you can drop them off at a local library. Depending on your local library they will either try and sell them or catalog them.

George, if I lived closer, I would be there now, knocking on your door, hoping to get some of those old mags. Please don't trash them as someone suggested....gotta be some great reading there for those interested in old school/traditional hot rodding, not to mention all the tech articles.

On another note, It was good meeting you at 'Ol Ron's place during one of our Barners Tours in New England some years ago. I recall drooling over your supercharged 32 roadster, and your Ardun powered '40 Ford. Ron's homemade chili was also very good, and the Flathead discussions in Ron's garage were priceless.

How can I pay or who can I pay to ship these? Is there anyone close who *doesnt* want them but would help ship them to me? I can't justify to my wife driving from Ohio to Vermont for mags.
