Re: flex plate
I though 351W's had external balancing and had an offset weight on the flex plate ? Could be wrong, but that's what my memory is saying.

Re: flex plate
Small block and 351W the same 28 oz imbalance till somewhere around 80. 351W stayed the same and 302 went to 50 oz imbalance. Not sure what the lightweight 255 was not 2 many around.

Re: flex plate
I have used a original AOD flexplate with the large bellhousing C-4 and was fine. The flexplate looks to have a different stamping to make extra room for AOD converter. Bolt pattern was same and fit fine. Never tried the AOD converter on the C-4 flexplate. After blowing the front pump in a FMX transmission by using a C-6 flexplate I measure everything. Before you bolt flexplate to crankshaft set it on the converter and make sure it will set flush on the stud base.
