If you are talking about youtube, I haven't run across one. I have replaced my '55 door window several times. To me, it is a lot easier than it looks.
If you have a '55 or '56 Ford shop manual, it should be very helpful.

I never could find any. The hardest part for me was figuring out how the "rollers" that moved up and down popped out. The manual (as i recall) didn't clearly show how that whole roller piece assembled and disassembled ( i think it just said something to the effect of "just pull it out", or something equally vague) I would try and google that image, i spend hours (everything was covered in grease) trying to figure it out without breaking something. I could also see if i have some pics at home...i i can remember....

FWIW, one of the first things I needed to do with my 55 was the drivers side window. I did the rollers while I was in there. Like Daves55Sedan said it is pretty easy especially if you have done any door jobs before.

There is a wire clip on the arm end of the roller. It is really not a roller, more of a slider. any way, pull the clip and the shaft will come out of the roller, leaving the roller in the slot. Replace the clip in the roller to reassemble and just push the shaft back into the roller.

Actually, you don't need to pull the pins out of the rollers. If you un-bolt the window regulator, it gives you enough room to slide the rollers all the way out the end of the channel inside the door, but when you re-install, you need to adjust the window regulator all over again, but that aint no big deal.
In addition to that, when re-installing, you can assemble the rollers with the clips in them in the window channel prior to inserting the glass and channel assembly back into the door. Lower the glass down enough to align the rollers with the pins on the regulator arms and press then rollers onto the pins with your hand.

When I did my 55 bird, I replaced the rollers with the “new” ones which are nylon instead of metal. One failed and broke before the drivers side was up and down less than 50 times. So if the original metal ones are there use them if at all possible.

Fortunately I don’t use the pass side much, but I’m sure it’s in my future.

Dave’s right on snapping the pins back in, it’s almost impossible to try to put the keeper back in in the door.

Dave 55sedan ,
Thanks for the info . I'll try the regulator unbolt trick . After the
regulator is unbolted , is the window all the way down when you slide
the rollers out ?
Thanks , Mick

My '59 went pretty well. The car came with NO door guts and I found an Edsel donor door and some guts from a 'yard on the west coast. The manual was a help.

First thing I did was to file all the rough spots on the door access slots smooth, wrapped them all with pieces of duct tape. Saved myself a few scrapes I'm sure.

Mick, are you actually asking about how to replace the front glass runners on the door? (the little felt groove that the window glass runs up and down in)
